Zippity Pay - Terms
and Conditions - Credit Card Transactions
Before we can register
your business to process credit card transactions, we need you to read the Terms
and Conditions and acknowledge your understanding at the bottom of the
form.
Zippity Pay Responsibilities
- Zippity Pay Online Credit Card Processing Services Ltd, (Zippity Pay) is a New Zealand owned and operated business.
- Credit Card Processing Services are only available to businesses operating in New Zealand , transacted in New Zealand dollars and providing legally accepted goods and services.
- Zippity Pay reserves the right not to accept a request for an account or to cancel an account.
- Zippity Pay does not store cardholder numbers nor cardholder names and nor will it do so.
- Captured data and that of your customers is considered private and is not shared or sold to any outside parties unless information is requested by a NZ Court request.
- Every effort is made to ensure the website is in accordance with PCI compliance standards.
- Zippity Pay accepts no liability whatsoever for and shall bear no responsibility or be liable in any respect for any consequence or loss however incurred by your business operating an account through Zippity Pay.
- Zippity Pay charge a commission on all credit card transactions processed amounting to a % of the gross amount processed. This commission includes credit card transaction fees charged by merchant services.
- Zippity Pay will remit funds received from Visa, MasterCard, Diners or American Express, less the agreed commission, to your nominated account on a processing day as payments are received from card companies. This will either be a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday or the next business day if any of the processing days are public holidays.
- Any commission rate changes will be advised by email to the given email address on your account.
- The words Zippity Pay Online will appear on your clients credit card statements indicating the purchase of goods or services via the Zippity Pay service.
Your Responsibilities
- Card transactions are completed under the banking systems, Card Not Present rules
- You agree not to make any claim or demand or take any action legal or other action against Zippity Pay whatsoever as a result of not being accepted for a credit card processing account, or there being an error in the information provided by you.
- You agree to indemnify Zippity Pay against all losses arising out of use of the credit card processing facility such as but not limited to, charge backs by your customers who reverse the charges placed on their cards claiming non delivery of services, or any other reasons for nonpayment.
- Disputed or charge back amounts will be debited to your account if and when Visa, MasterCard, Diners or American Express debit Zippity Pay. In accepting these Terms and Conditions, you agree to allow Zippity Pay to debit your nominated bank account automatically for any charge back transactions.
- If an account is closed through failure to follow the Terms and Conditions or from a failure to adopt requests sent via email, any funds owing will be held back for a period of time to cover any charge backs that may occur. If funds are not available, Zippity Pay will use agencies to recover any amounts owing with collection cost being oncharged.
- Where possible, enter your client's email address in the payment processing forms. It assists clients remember their purchases and potentially reduces charge back queries.
- Credit Cards are subject to fraud. Through Zippity Pay’s link to the electronic card processing system, the company makes every effort to minimize these risks and validate cards with the banking system but fraud can still occur. You need to be vigilant and if you have any reason to be suspicious about a card presented or the actions of the presenter then you are required to take an alternative method of payment for your own protection
- Where you have sighted a card, you are required for those transactions to obtain a signature on a printed transaction receipt during or after the payment session. This form should be retained by you for one year. Obtaining a signature minimises any chance of a subsequent a successful charge back.
- To help reduce fraudulent transactions, ensure the CVV2, (normally on the back of a credit card) is entered when processing manual credit card transactions.
- Refunds may only be processed back to a credit card by contacting Zippity Pay merchant support on 03 974-3126 or by emailing merchant support atmerchant support
- Refunds are managed on a case by case basis and any refunds will be made to the card used for the original transaction. Commission charges are not refundable.
- You cannot issue cash against a credit card transaction
- You are not permitted to give refunds by cash as this is a fraud management issue. Please contact Zippity Pay regarding any refund issues or concerns.
- Where possible, you agree to make validation checks of identity as reasonably possible such as; an email address, a known client, a physical address and a phone number.
- Credit Checking - you authorise Zippity Pay to pass personal information to Credit Reporting Agencies for the purpose of credit checking or in the event that you default on your payment obligations to Zippity Pay This information will be used by Credit Reporting Agencies to update and maintain credit information files and will be accessed by the customer of the credit reporting database.
